With phrases in Portuguese, Trivium conquered the Brazilians. September 7^th, 2012.

The footprint of thrash metal with influences of Metallica, Slayer and In Flames in a minimalist way was the last band to take the BRB stage tonight. Trivium's show was undoubtedly one of the most exciting of the night for fans of metal. The Americans from Orlando showed to Porão do Rock Festival 2012 what they came for, showcasing the very best in a style that still moves generations.

The charismatic singer and guitarist Matt Heafy rehearsed a few words in Portuguese and reached his goal: he conquered the public. With phrases like “What's up Brasília?” and “You guys are fucking awesome!,” he inspired the crowd at the Nilson Nelson Gymnasium. The band, which is coming to South America for the very first time, played the most important songs from their five albums. Among them "Throes of Perdition", "In Waves" and "Built to Fall".

One of the Trivium albums, Shogun (2008), stood at 23rd on the Billboard charts, sharing spots with bands like Iron Maiden and Slipknot. This exemplifies the quality of the show that the Brazilian headbangers could witness tonight, as the closing of the more metallic stage at PDR 2012.

La huella del thrash metal con influencias de Metallica, Slayer e In Flames se presentó de manera minimalista en la última banda que tomó el escenario del BRB esta noche. El show de Trivium fue sin duda uno de los más emocionantes de la noche para los fans del metal. Los estadounidenses residentes de Orlando mostraron al Porão do Rock a lo que vinieron, mostrando lo mejor en un estilo que todavía mueve a generaciones.

El carismático cantante y guitarrista Matt Heafy ensayó algunas palabras en portugués y logró su objetivo: conquistar al público. Con frases como “¿Cómo están, Brasilia?,” y “¡Ustedes son jodidamente increíbles!”, él animó a la multitud en el Gimnasio Nilson Nelson. La banda, la cual está visitando Sudamérica por vez primera, tocó los temas más importantes de sus cinco álbumes. Entre ellos "Throes of Perdition", "In Waves" y "Built to Fall".

Uno de los álbumes de Trivium, Shogun (2008), se colocó en el #23 de los charts de Billboard, compartiendo lugares con bandas como Iron Maiden y Slipknot. Esto ejemplifica la calidad del show que los metaleros brasileños pudieron atestiguar anoche, en lo que fue el cierre del escenario más metálico del PDR 2012.

Buenas noticias para nuestros amigos en Brasil: El sitio del PDR (Porão Do Rock) confirmó el día de ayer miércoles dos nuevas bandas para la 15ª edición del festival que se llevará a cabo los días 7 y 8 de septiembre en el complejo del gimnasio Nilson Nelson en Brasilia: la banda estadounidense Trivium y los brasileños de Sepultura. Ambos tocarán en el escenario del rock pesado, localizado dentro del gimnasio, como en se ha efectuado en los dos años previos.

Con ésta ya son 3 fechas en las que Trivium estará en Brasil (7, 8 y 9 de septiembre) y las cuales marcan el inicio del primer tour latinoamericano de la banda.
